I did the CT portion from S to N. I was taking this somewhat leisurely (texting during the run). There was a road detour, but it didn't change the milage much. I also had to out and back a little road section to get to one of my food/water caches.
I paused my watch a bunch of times. So total time = 12:55:52. Moving time = 11:34:57.
Officially stating my intention of breaking Scott Gregor's FKT for the CT portion of the AT on August 4th, 2017. I will also be traveling S to N but my attempt will be fully-supported, my crew meeting me at points throughout the day. The goal will be to break the 11:34:57 Scott listed (though I'm not sure if the official FKT is that or the 12:55:52).
Will post with Strava data and a blog write-up upon completion, complete with pictures and the like.
On August 4th, 2017 I completed the Connecticut portion of the Appalachian Trail north-bound with a time of 12:47:19, which I believe is a new FKT. Below is the GPS data via Strava, as well as a write up on my blog (shameless plug!). Barring a setback, my goal is to rerun this route next year in hopes of lowering the time further.
