Does anyone know if there's a known FKT for the NJ section of the AT?

I was just looking for this last night, but I couldn't find anything. I'm planning to run the water gap to highpoint park section on one of the weekends in December, depending on the weather. Let me know if anyone wants to join!

Eric,
I am planning on running the Northwest section of the NJ AT (from DWG to Highpoint) in Spring or Summer 2014 (most likely in late April 2014). I think it's about 43.5 miles long. I've been cycling, hiking & running for years & have done a few trail races in the past (e.g., Escarpment in 4:58 & 7 Sisters in 2:59), but I have gone this far. I am hoping to knock it off in 10-12 hours. My wife will drop me off at the Gap & pick me up later at High Point. If I don't feel great, then Stokes Park on Rt 206 (~26 miles) will be the bail out point, but I am not planning to quit. I planning to run unsupported. I may carry about 3 - 5 liters of water, not sure yet. I'm a super fast hiker, so I am planning to "speed hike" a fair amount of the AT. My goal is to maintain a steady 4 miles per hour pace.
Let me know if you have an interest in running this or if you have already done this & can give me some tips.
Thanks,
Chris

Was this ever accomplished? Didn't see a follow up. Also, looking for the NY section of the AT FKT. If you see it can you post a link?

I'll be attempting an FKT of the NJ section nobo in mid-May. I'll be starting on the PA side of the DWG bridge and finishing at Mount Peter Rd in Warwick NY (next road after the state line). This will be a supported attempt with a car following me and providing aid at the various road crossings.

Hi all,
Another update: after running the last section of this FKT this past weekend (NY-NJ border and beyond) I have decided I will not be doing the last 5 miles after the state line to Mount Peter Road. Instead, I will arrive at the state line marker (and snap some photos and such) then backtrack until I arrive at the State Line Trail/Earnest Walter Trail which I will take to Lakeside Road in Greenwood Lake.
Cheers!

Hi everyone! My name is Ryan Thorpe. On Saturday 9/2, I will attempt to run the NJ section of the AT going southbound. I will start at the NY/NJ border at 2:00am. I posted a detailed itinerary on Facebook: I will record the run with my GPS and upload the file to Strava, and I will post a report to my blog afterwards. All are welcome to watch or run with me.
