Been thinking of doing an unsupported Cumberland Gap Traverse from Civic Park in Ewing, VA up to White Rocks then the Ridge Trail to Sugar Run Trail to Harland Road Trail to Wilderness Road Trail to Thomas Walker Trail to the Visitor Center in Middlesboro, Kentucky for a total of approximately 24.7 miles. This will likely be something I'll attempt this winter around the Dec./Jan time frame. Want to make sure it's cold enough to not have to worry about Rattlesnakes up top.
Does anyone know of any FKT's for this area or trail route? The route I've chose gets a little tricky around Martin's Fork so as to get the most miles from end to end.
