If there is a women's time, it hasn't been reported here. Go for it, girl!

Thanks Iriz! Nice work on your Hut Traverse FKT! Very stout time I only have a small window of time, so if the NH Spring weather is tame...I'll give it a go.

Thanks for the kind words! I was so busy this year that I didn't get out for a Hut Traverse or a Pemi Loop (hoping to remedy that in 2014). Spring conditions above treeline are tough to predict, as they are so dependent on the amount of snow we receive over the winter. Do let me know if you'd like a buddy to run the traverse with you... larisadannis.wordpress.com/contact/

Well, myself and another female are hoping to do a Prezi Traverse on Sunday (6/22) - sounds like if we can finish, we can at least set an FKT (for others to promptly smash). I will update on Monday how it goes.

Kelsey Allen and I (Amy Rusiecki) ran the Presidential Traverse on 6/22/14 - starting at 8:04am at Appalachia, and finishing at 3:17pm at Mt. Davis Road. Total time = 7:12:30. Neither of us own a GPS, so I used my camera (with time stamp) to document. Our splits are: Appalacia >Madison summit 1:39 > Adams summit 2:30( 0:51) > Jefferson summit 3:21( 0:51) > Washington summit via Clay loop 4:38( 1:17) > Monroe summit 5:23( 0:45) > Eisenhower summit 6:02( 0:39) > Pierce summit 6:29( 0:27) > Rt. 302 7:12:30(0:44) I will post a report on: runningrusieckis.blogspot.com/ in the next few days detailing the journey.

Congrats on holding the record, but it was beaten today by Kristina Marie Folcik-Welts - 5:32!
Way to go Kristina!

I did run a5:32 today and will upload it when I get home. There were also people out there who could confirm my record. I accidentally did Franklin too. 1:25 Madison, 3:40 Washington 5:02 pierce 5:32 route 302. I started from Appalachia with two other guys somewhere around 10am. I ran a 6:48 a few weeks ago with my husband Ryan welts to practice the route. I never claimed it because Iwas planning to really go for it today if the weather held. Details to follow!!!

connect.garmin.com/activity/529706025There is the link to my run! Valley Way and the descent down Crawford path were full of running and standing water but everything on the ridge was in great shape! I will be writing a blog post after the weekend!

I left Appalachia at the same time as Kristina today. She was about 5 minutes ahead as I was coming down off Madison, and she kept pulling further away every time I saw her or heard she'd passed through. I have no doubts about her time; she was cruising!

I started with Josh and Kristen before 10 a.m on Friday and can attest to her cruising the trails and ditching me at the half way point. I finished at 6:32 and she was no where in sight!! Awesome job and I enjoy the run with you guys at different points.

Way to go Kristina! I knew Kelsey and I set a super soft time (doing it the day after Mt. Washington road race and all)...so I'm glad to see the FKT be a much more aggressive time. Well done!

Thanks Amy! Running that the day after Washington must have been tough! Awesome weekend for you both!

I am planning on running the traverse next Sunday. Does anyone know the current conditions and if it is fully feasible to do it?
