The North Fork Mountain Trail (NFMT) is a ~24-mile long trail that follows the ridgeline of North Fork Mountain in the Spruce Knob-Seneca Rocks NRA in northeastern West Virginia. The northern terminus is located on Smoke Hole Rd, off of Highway 55/28 and the southern terminus lies at the crest of the North Fork ridge on Highway 33. If I'm not mistaken, Outside Magazine once listed this as the best trail in West Virginia (debatable). More information on the NFMT can be found here: www.wvhighlands.org/Pages/Maps_NFM.htmlwww.outdoortravels.com/Hiking_WV_Overview_NorthFork.htmlDoes anyone have an FKT for this trail? I believe the West Virginia Mountain Trail Runners used to convene here once a year. Anywho, I plan on running this trail within the week and will post results here.
