Dientes de Navarino (Chile)Kendrick Callaway, 8h32m02s, March 1, 2015Buzz Burrell, Lisa Ledet, Stephanie Ehret & Peter Bakwin, 11h26m, February 11, 2005.The Dientes de Navarino is an amazing route on Isla Navarino in Tierra Del Fuego, Chile. It is 54 km through some of the most rugged country you are ever likely to traverse. It is also considered the southern-most trek in the world, and from one place you can view Cape Horn. Wow! Just getting there is an adventure. Buzz Burrell, Stephanie Ehret, Lisa Ledet and Peter Bakwin ran the route in 11h26m (to close the loop) on February 11, 2005. More photos and info about their trip to Patagonia is here. This stood as the FKT for 10 years (and remains as the female FKT) when Kendrick Callaway did the loop in 8h32m on March 1, 2015, as reported below. This was Callaway's second run on the loop, which he had also done the year before, but in a slower time since he got lost several times. Lisa Ledet on the Dientes de Narvarino Circuit

Just giving a heads up that I am currently in Ushuaia and will be making my way to Puerto Williams in about 4 days with the intention of giving a go at your FKT on the Dientes circuit. If enough decent days are presented to me I hope to do this circuit twice: once following your exact route and again just staying on the main circuit without any side trips. I will have my Suunto Ambit on for the route (it may show an inaccurate GPS tracking since I will have to set the GPS fix to 60 seconds for the extra battery life). I'll also have my iPhone along to take photos along the way (rain permitting) since I lost my waterproof point-and-shoot in transit from El Chalten to Ushuaia. I can't wait to get down there and see some amazing scenery!
