I think it would be a great addition to this site if you could compile a chronological history of record progression for the major trails at least.
I know you have partial chronologies for a few, like the JMT.
PCT seems pretty sparse though.
I do realize actually finding the info can be a bit difficult.

I already do that to the extent that I know the historical information. I encourage others to post what they know of past records. Of course, verifying things from long ago can be tough or impossible! I probably should change the format on some of these pages to list the records chronologically in a more easily accessible way. Thanks for the suggestion!
