Hello Everyone!
I am planning on running the Flagstaff Loop Trail on Saturday, November 5th 2016 starting at 6:30 AM from my home in Sunnyside, running north to Pipeline and starting the route clockwise from there. I will be having my friend, Jonathan, join for the first part of the run. My dog, Sophie, will be with me for the entirety of the run. I will be using my Suunto Ambit 2 to record/track the loop and off-load the gpx files as soon as I'm back home. I do not have a SPOT tracker. I've invited other friends to join, but have not had anyone solidly commit yet. I announced my intentions to run the loop on Trail And Ultra Running's Facebook page on 11/02/2016 when Craig Lloyd did the race/run weekend "roll call," here: www.facebook.com/groups/TrailAndUltraRunning/permalink/1066365610146610/
I am honestly running this loop as more of a training run and for fun, but I haven't found where FKTs are tracked for it? The most I have been able to find was Sean Meissner's run on 03/29/2014 in 7:11:24, documented here: www.marathonmaniacsdb.com/Maniacs/MyRaces/92
I do not know if any other woman or dog has completed the loop running? So, unless anyone else has any other information out there, whatever time we end up running it in will just be the first time? Haha not sure
It'll be a great run anyway! I've ran most of the sections so far, just not all strung together at once yet.
