Lizzy Hawker ran this route in 35h39m22s in March 2016. Seth Wolpin was the first to run the route in 49h55m, November 2015.
The Kathmandu Valley Rim Trail (KVRT) is a route encircling the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal. It was established by Seth Wolpin, who published an online guide. Wolpin ran the 172km route in a single push in November 2015, in 49h55m, as reported in an article in the Nepali Times. While this is just one person's link-up, it appears to be an instant classic. Just a few months after Wolpin's run, international champion ultrarunner Lizzy Hawker completed the route in 35h39m22s in March 2016.
"I learnt lessons, drew strength from friends, received kindness from strangers and realised once again that our self imposed limits are just an illusion." -- Lizzy Hawker
