Simon Donato and Ryan Atkins did the traverse in 10h25m on July 30, 2015.The Mount Rundle Traverse is a 25km traverse over 11 summits of Rundle Ridge near Canmore, Alberta. It goes at a maximum technical grade of about 5.5 (YDS) on notoriously rotten rock. Previous FKT holder Dow Williams wrote this about the Mount Rundle Traverse on summitpost.com: "an unpublished and often gossiped about objective, but who has really done it? I have never actually met anyone who really did but ran into plenty of folks who thought they knew someone who did." He added: "How long is it? How many peaks must you surmount? If you really need to ask those questions, perhaps you should give it a pass." Williams reported completing the Traverse in "13 hours +/-" from the Goat Creek parking lot to the Banff Springs Hotel. Simon Donato and Ryan Atkins tackled the Traverse on July 30, 2015, and completed the route in an FKT of 10h25m, as reported on rmoutlook.com. "Without ropes, it might be the most dangerous trail run in the Rocky Mountains." rmoutlook.comRyan Atkins & Simon Donato on the Rundle Ridge
