Hello, I didn't know this site existed- but it's a cool place to get some inspiration! I was directed here by a friend to post my recent run on the 110 mile Bartram Trail in North Carolina and Georgia. I started on November 11th on Cheoah Bald and finished 44 hours 36 minutes later at Russell Bridge on the Georgia/South Carolina line. It was not particularly speedy, but I covered the miles. Alan Buckner, Liz Bauer and Scott Brockmeier ran sections with me and the long story is posted on my blog at www.ncultrarunner.blogspot.comI would love to help anyone who wants to run this trail. It's in my backyard and I am very familiar with it. It's a beautiful place to run! Denise Davis

I know the Bartram trail runs from NC to SC via GA, but I also know there's part of the Bartram trail down in Augusta... Are these two separate trails? Anyone know anything about the longer version that extends down into Augusta? From www.georgiatrails.com/gt/Bartram_Trail:"The journey that he began in March, 1773, at the age of 35, followed what is now called the Bartram Trail. This trail, which runs from the northeast corner of Georgia to Augusta and the Savannah River, is only partially maintained. Citizen groups have tried to keep the trail marked on some of it's 220 miles. Currently, in the area around Augusta, the trail is repeatedly bisected by modern obstructions." Any knowledge as to these obstructions? Is there a map out there?
