Just a question regarding this outing:
This Saturday, 3 May 2014, myself and two other friends are attempting to run the Narragansett Trail from it's eastern trail head (Ashville Pond in Hopkinton, RI) to its western terminus (Lantern Hill in Ledyard, CT) in an attempt at an FKT. Not sure on the exact distance as various sources have this ranging anywhere from 20 to 23 miles total. I know this pales in comparison to what most of you complete on here but it is fun, rugged terrain and is a decent undertaking for us. It'll be unsupported in that the three of us will have no outside help and will be carrying our own water and fuel.
Over the past several days we have been researching (read: scouring the "google machine") in attempts to find a current FKT for this run yet none appear to exist. Anybody know of any verifiable attempts?
Any information regarding past attempts and times/current FKT for this outing would be greatly appreciated.
