What a great site. I just completed the FKT for the Bruce Trail in Ontario Canada. It runs along the Niagara Escarpment from Tobermory to Niagara Falls over an distance of 891km. The official time was 12days 7hrs 39min. Feel free to check out my facebook page End to End Challenge to make sure I am not full of it.
I am now looking for my next challenge and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I was thinking the Long Trail in Vermont. I would love to hear of any suggestions. Anything with minimal road and super technical trail.
Cheers, Cody Gillies

My friend and client Virginia Gingras set the new female FKT on the Bruce Trail this September. For reference here is some history leading up to this FKT, not all of which has been posted here previously. On July 2, 2010, Charlotte Vasarhelyi set a new overall FKT for the Bruce Trail of 13 days, 10 hours 51 min, surpassing the previous record by 23 hours 9 min. www.monumentaleffort.com/charlotte-vasarhelyi-new-bruce-trail-solo-speed-record-holderOn October 7, 2012, Cody Gillies set a new FKT for the Bruce Trail of 12days 7hrs 39min (since surpassed by Jim Willett). Charlotte Vasarhelyi still held the Female FKT. www.facebook.com/End-to-End-Challenge-304209682935460On September 23, 2015, Virginia Gingras set a new Female FKT for the Bruce Trail of 13 days, 6 hours 28 min. virginiavsbruce.com

Hello everyone, Just wanted to give a heads up that I plan to attempt the Bruce Trail in about a weeks time, starting on Oct 19th. This will be a Supported attempt, with my father crewing for me. My longshot, optimistic goal is to finish in about 8 1/2 to 9 days (roughly 90 to 100KMs/day).
I will have both my Garmin Fenix 3 and a Spot Gen3 on me throughout the attempt, so I can be followed live at; share.findmespot.com/shared/faces/viewspots.jsp?glId=0qr2WgRZxmLhy7aqpjfjs84yOJymjW4oG and I will post the Garmin GPS data here afterwards as well.
If anyone is interested in running some miles with me, I'd welcome the company! Alex Glenn
*Quick Update: Due to timing issues and the very hot weather in the GTA, I'm delaying the start of my attempt till Thursday the 20th.
*Conclusion: Called it quits after 7 days / 515KM due to knee pain and an inability to run to make decent daily mileage, which would not have allowed enough time to cover the Peninsula section. Will try again at some future date.

The Wild Bruce Chase, a team of 18 women, set the women's relay fastest known time on the Bruce Trail. The Wild Bruce Chase completed the continuous, end-to-end run in four days, one hour and 39 minutes. The trail's length was 901.5 kms due to trail closures. The Wild Bruce Chase started on July 1, 2016 at the North Terminus and ended on July 5, 2016 at the Southern Terminus.

Total time 9days,21hrs,14minutes. I carried a DeLorme inreach tracker and GPS watch. Also took manual coordinates log at crew meeting spots. My Facebook link is [br m.facebook.com/Adam-Burnett-End-to-End-Bruce-Trail-829445280565490/I had a 24/7 crew of Vicky Burnett and Erin Abbatangelo We had many friends and family come out to support and many ultra runners find us through the tracker that came out to run and or show support.

Does anyone have any information about the unsupported fkt time? From what I can see one doesn't exist or it hasn't been claimed by anyone?

Does anyone have any information about the unsupported fkt time? From what I can see one doesn't exist or it hasn't been claimed by anyone? I've looked into this a bit. I couldn't find any record of an unsupported FKT for the Bruce. An unsupported end to end would be quite the accomplishment; one would have to be carrying a lot of food at the start!
The only self-supported attempt I could find was completed by Charlotte Vasarhelyi on August 15, 2016 in a time of 16 days, 21 hours, and 27 minutes. I believe that is the current self-supported FKT.

I met Chantal on trail, Canada Day. An awesome run! I'll be doing the pct next summer, and had thought about walking up the bruce when I get home in the fall. A way to unwind... This thread has got me thinking. 885km unsupported. Nuts, but do-able.
