To be clear on the record details for anyone attempting the FKT in the future: Art and I embarked from the trailhead together. We started the time at the US Forest Service registration box. There are three wooden sign posts marking intersecting trails along the way. My splits at these were 3:47, 8:39, and 30:31. I stopped the watch at 33:39 as I crossed under the arch of the radio tower opposing the trail exit. Art followed shortly after. The attempt was unassisted. We made no water drops, used no trekking poles, and cut no switchbacks.
