A few weeks ago my wife and I linked the North rim and the Long Range traverse in Gros Morne NP, Newfoundland. We did the 69.9km of trail route in 2 days 8hrs 25mins. It was one of the best routes I have ever done! For a more detailed trip report go to www.ericbatty.blogspot.com

It is rather sad that people try to sprint through such a beautiful hike. I understand that getting time off from work sometimes may be a problem but I can't help but notice that speed of completion of these trails seems to be the main focus here.

This is a board for fastest know hiking times, of course people are focused on speed of completion. You're right that it's a beautiful hike, but I don't think walking quickly makes you enjoy it any less.
