Howdy all, figured it was time to put a post up for SoCal's tallest peak. I'm sure there's plenty of faster times out there, but mine's 1:57:38 from car/parking lot sign to ammo box. I've heard rumor that Ryan Hall (US marathoner that grew up in Big Bear) once ran one of the trails to the summit in 1:45. Can anybody confirm this?

That's awesome Brad. Do you have any garmin recorded data to make proof of your fast journey? 1:57 is pretty fast. It takes me at least 4 hours to get up there.

No GPS tracks, sorry. I actually don't own any GPS watches, but I can tell you what my splits were at certain spots in the trail:
Wilderness sign: :18 mins Halfway Camp: :41 mins High Creek: 1:11 Ridge trail sign: 1:51

Finally ran this one with a gps watch (1:54:14). Its such a fun and challenging trail to run. I'll be excited to see what some of the elites are able do up this route. app.strava.com/activities/141860850Also, super proud of my wife - Ryan Trettevik Harris - who did 3:02:57, which as far as we can tell is the women's fkt.

Gave the good ol' Grayback a push on August 7 2016. I think on a cooler day, quite a bit more time can be shaved off and I hope to be back later for a quicker ascent. My time was 1:53:37 ( www.strava.com/activities/668500645 )
