Fastest Known Times: Doug Robinson, Spring 1985: 22h 05m. Trip reportBob Akka, May 15 2005: 20h 30m. Trip report and details Approximate map (GPS data would be appreciated) The Skier's Sierra High Route is a winter route of approximately 35 miles and 11,000ft gross elevation gain, starting at the Wolverton trailhead in Sequoia National Park, and ending at the Symmes Creek/Shepherd's Pass trailhead near Independence, CA. A rough map of the route can be found here; a more detailed map based on ground-truth GPS data would be appreciated. First skied in its entirety by David Beck in 1975, the route was popularized by Beck and by Bela Vadasz, who guided clients over the route for many years. The SHR is typically completed as a 5-7 day trip, with several guiding companies offering guided group trips. The two known in-a-day efforts are listed above; additional information about FKTs or women's FKTs would be appreciated.

I'm interested in attempting an FKT on this route in the Spring of 2015. Partners, advice, training partners, or GPX traces would be appreciated!

Snowpack and schedule didn't line up last year- I'm hoping to attempt this in spring 2017 if the snowpack is reasonable. Still looking for a ground-truth GPX track!
