Luke, try the Jamestown route, rather than going all the way to Estes Park, I bet your bike times would be much, much lower! Nice work! Here's my go at Cables, sticking to the trail until the Boulderfield - my bike times are not as fast as Beidleman's historic times w/shortcuts, so I'm a little reserved to claim anything - also missed my turn to Jamestown going up (d'oh!): Bike Up: 3:12:42 - www.strava.com/activities/366015211Longs via Cables: 3:24:40 - www.strava.com/activities/366015381Bike Down: 2:00:05 - www.strava.com/activities/366015445--------------------- 8:44:22 or so

I did a biking approach of Kieners today (8/14/2015) from my apartment in Boulder. My Bustop-to-Bustop time was 7h44m, which breaks down to a 2h39 bike to the TH, 12min transition, 2:04 ascent of Longs via Kieners (and every trick in the book to get to Chasm Lake as quickly as possible), 2min on the summit, :52 descent via the Cables and all shortcuts, 11min transition, and a 1h44m bike back to the Bustop. Strava data: www.strava.com/activities/368994613I was happy to see that my watch (Suunto Ambit3) still had 28% battery left despite running for 8hr on the highest accuracy setting (which is only supposed to have an 8hr battery life).

Yo, My first time posting here! First off im super inspired and humbled by the history of lpt, and nice work crushing out there to everybody who has done this thing....Did the LPT on Saturday - Cables up and Standard (Keyhole) down, sticking to standard trails, no shortcuts. Was my first time going up cables route and got stuck in a bottleneck with a couple people at one of the cruxier sections, scrambled around them on a bit harder-slabby face and added some extra time taking a less direct route to the summit going more towards nw ridge (live and learn). I decided I did not want to go down the ice and snowy cables rt, combo with the amount of people that were on the way up. Overall an awesome and brutal day out! Splits: (from my watch) B1: Intersection to TH - 2:37:19 T1 - :2:52 R(up Via Cables) - 2:56:02 (slow i know! can definitely improve here pretty easily) Summit - :3:57 R(down via Std) - 1:42:07 (seems to me like in good conditions going down cables is much faster??) T2 - :3:40 B2: TH to intersection - 1:38:43 Total time of 9:04:40 www.strava.com/activities/395752351 (for some reason strava segments didn't work for me)

Ascending and descending the Cables. Boulder to Longs TH: 2h56m+8min transition TH to summit: 2h40m+4min on top Summit to TH: 1h14m+10min transition TH to Boulder: 1h39m Strava GPS track: www.strava.com/activities/513652951It'll probably go a couple hours faster this summer.

Stefan Griebel and I did an unsupported Longs Peak Triathlon (Casual Route) today (8/16/2016) in 9h06m, Bustop to Bustop. Boulder to Longs TH: 2h42+7min transition TH to summit: 3h28+2min on top Summit to TH: 0h59m+8min transition TH to Boulder: 1h40 Strava Track: www.strava.com/activities/678646953There's still ~30min of wiggle room in this for sure, but it's getting tighter. We carried everything all day, except for refilling water at the trailhead spigot and a couple of springs higher on the mountain.
