I don't see a fkt for Mt Bierstadt from Guanella pass trailhead. Is this too short a route for this forum? Planning to go tomorrow morning and will set time so that it can be eclipsed in rapid order I am sure.  E |

Heading up tomorrow morning from Guanella Pass trailhead. I won't be setting the bar to high (or fast as it were), so I look forward to seeing whatever time I set rapidly eclipsed.

Andrew Terrill and I raced each other on Mt. Bierstadt on Sept. 21, 2014, and each finished in 1:25:20, starting and ending the run at the big signs near the lower parking lot. Andrew had splits of roughly 54 (ascent)/31 (descent), and mine were 52/33. Strava gives me 1:25:11 for the round-trip: app.strava.com/activities/197632296Scott Spillman |

I haven't seen anything official on women's times, but I ran the ascent in 1:07:39 on 6/19/16. Has anyone heard of any faster times put up by women? Strava activity link I think I ran a little too timidly. This was my first time on a 14er, and my boyfriend kept telling me to slow down in the earlier sections because he thought I would blow up. I ended up feeling great the whole time. Just had a little bit of trouble with the sheet of ice in the second half and some route-finding issues in the last push to the summit. I had a blast and I think I can chop several minutes off next time.  |

I did this on a Saturday, which made it my most spectated run ever! So many people on the mountain on a beautiful Saturday. All super courteous when an uncoordinated wildebeest ran into them. 48 min on Strava from signs to summit post. www.strava.com/activities/636468706/overview I heard Joe Gray is going to do it soon!
