This has been done. Bill Briggs of Boulder did the whole thing many years ago in about 12 hours. My experience is that the northernmost part of the trail is not great. I have done, a couple times, the section from the Surprise Lake TH to my house in Mesa Cortina, Silverthorne. About 33 miles. Always in June though. I was at the northern section today (Brush Creek area) and the growth of grass made part of the trail very difficult.

Truhe - Did you complete this? According to my NatGeo Trails Illustrated Map(2012) FS Trail #60 is approximately 47 miles long, ending at Elliot Ridge road #1831 @ 11,000ft. Beetle kill dead-fall has made this trail slow going from what I have seen. Has anyone done the whole trail recently? I am thinking about an attempt this summer.

We put in a solid attempt but got shut down by relentless rain before we hit Eccles Pass, definitely heads up going through Black Creek!! We'll be going for it again this fall

Went back and got the entirety of it this July, certainly not the FKT but finished under 18 hours... Brutal at the beginning, tough to even stay on a portion of a trail as we ended up bushwhacking the first 45 minutes haha. Felt like the Gores! Beautiful though
