I'm planning to run the South to North traverse next week (North Fork Trailhead to Whiskey Bend Trailhead). I was surprised to find only one previous entry for this route. "Bret White and Chad Rehahn completed the route unsupported from Northfork to Whiskey Bend in the Olympic National Park in 14:21 on July 11, 2016." This is an obvious line that crosses the Park through old growth forests first following the North fork of the Quinalt River to its headwaters at the the Low Divide, then descending the Elwha trial to Whiskey Bend paralleling the Elwha River. Have other run this faster? A ranger told me a group ran it a few weeks ago. I plan to run unsupported from North Fork starting at approximately 7AM on July 11, 2017.
