I've been looking for examples of multi-sport FKTs. And specifically I've been looking at what constitutes a compelling or appropriate multi-sport FKT attempt. Does the following fit?
In Oregon on the Rogue River: Rogue Wild and Scenic raft or kayak (34 miles, class III), plus run back (40 miles) same day. Start/Finish=same location (Grave Creek). A friend and I did this last year (2016) using every the full day's daylight (16 hours). At the time, I thought of ways I could go faster, but would such an effort be worthy of an FKT? (yes, I can bring my SPOT to verify)
And, relatedly, would it be a supported effort even if I take care of all my own food and water (the raft/kayak would have to be picked up by someone)?
Thanks for thoughts,
Torsten

Sounds like a great day. If you go back and pick up the boat yourself then it's self supported. If someone else gets it for you it's supported. I don't see that it makes any material difference.
