Hi - amazing time for the Larapinta! I read in a newsletter of Friends of the Larapinta Trail that you were from Alice. Were you already familiar with the trail? Do you mind sharing a bit more of the story of how you did it so quickly? Can't find many accounts of anyone else attempting a FKT. WOuld love to hear about your back-up crew - where you met them/camped, how you broke up the sections, which way you did it, etc. I have walked the entire trail years ago, and done lots of the sections lots of times, even before it was officially the Larapinta Trail. Would love to consider running the whole thing, would have to do it supported though I think. Any more bits of you story would be great! Cheers.

Hi bushkids, did you end up running the trail and attempting an FKT after hopen39? I have heard rumors of two women running the trail in around 60 hours after hopen39 set his FKT but haven't found anything or anyone anywhere online or in Alice Springs yet to verify this. In my opinion hopen39's FKT is the only verified FKT....but wanted to ask you in case you were one of the female runners that did the trail.

On April 27-29 myself and another local guy are planning an unsupported accompanied FKT attempt. I will post details of the rules we have set for this attempt closer to the time. Training going well at the moment though.
