im wanting to attempt the AT speed record . who do i need to tell if i want to make it official . and what is the current self supported/unsuported record?

Post your plan under the AT thread: fastestknowntime.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=midatlantic&action=display&thread=6 Post updates as you go, if possible - this helps with verification. As far as I know, the fastest thru-hiker style trip was 60.5 days by Ward Leonard (see AT thread). For some reason the AT hasn't seen a lot of thru-hiker speed attempts, but there have been numerous supported FKT trips.
