This is one of CT's blue blazed trails. One end is in Monroe and the other in Shelton traversing about 14 miles. I've looked around and haven't found any evidence of a FKT so I'll be looking to set a benchmark at some point in December 2016. If anyone knows of an existing FKT I'd love to hear about it before my attempt. Otherwise I hope to let you all know about it soon. Here's a link to maps and info on the trail. Just scroll down until you see the Paugussett Trail. www.sheltonconservation.org/recreation/shelton_trails.html

Looking forward to it. Interesting time of year to run it for sure. How much of the foliage has been cleared out on these trails is what I would like to know before I come home in about a week for the holidays haha. Thought I'd whip that up as a format so people know what basis this FKT is under. Feel free to add it to the original post! Also a great source for CT blue-blazed trails.

I ran it last July 4th 2016 in 6:51:50 for 27ish miles E2E2E. This is a very fun and challenging trail and I am sure with very little effort you will smash the time that I did. I ran it on a hot day on tired legs for fun. Good luck on your fastest known time attempt. Here's the link to the Strava for the day although the signal was pretty screwy so the distance is probably off. Elevation showed 5100 feet. I filtered my own water and took my time but had a lot of fun on this solo unsupported run. www.strava.com/activities/630235509

Hey Raphael, thanks for adding the format and additional info. It certainly looks a lot more official now! Congrats on your run Art! It's definitely a tough trail. I was planning on going e2e2e this morning but due to some pretty difficult conditions (ice, snow, slush) I decided to only risk my neck in one direction. I started at the Shelton end and finished at East Village Road in 2:29:56 solo unsupported. I'm really looking forward to giving this another go when the weather is more agreeable. www.strava.com/activities/810552457/shareable_images/map_based?hl=en-US&v=1482612332
